Ahead of schedule, the topping-out ceremony marks a very exciting day for the data center project located just outside Chicago.
Honoring a long-standing tradition, the final steel beam was painted white and affixed with the American flag. The beam was signed by ironworkers and other tradesmen and project team member names were added before it was hoisted into place.
“This is really good news to report during these challenging times. Hard work and careful planning helped us achieve this milestone ahead of schedule,” says Leo Hoerdemann, Verity Chicago Regional Manager. “We appreciate and thank the entire team that got us where we are now.”
The 223,000-sf, 36-mw data center is anticipated to be completed Fall 2020.
